· RELICS FROM THE PLASTIC PAST -PART 3-
In this third publication of the articles devoted to the relics, we publish material that have given to us our friends Joaquin Perez, Marcelo Lorenzo and Fernando Giorlando. We can also see material from our partners Sergio Bellomo, Andres Pereira Barreto and Ruben Velazquez. Enjoy!
· A BIT OF IPMS MAR DEL PLATA HISTORY
What follows are local publications reflecting the activity of IPMS Mar del Plata, as well as some "souvenirs": conmemorative decals of our contests and a photo with Brazilian colleagues.
Here is a publication of Páginas Amarillas sponsored by the EMTUR promoting activities to be held in Mar del Plata in 1997, in June highlights the National Plastic Modelling Meeting, organized by our club.
The following are articles published in newspapers of our city. The first one corresponds to the journal "El Atlantico" and alluding to the participation of our partners in the IPMS Uruguay contest in 1997. The second was posted on June 5, 2006 in the newspaper "La Capital" and shall comment on our contest of that year.
Now we show some "souvenirs." We see three decals: the first corresponding to the 3rd National Convention of 1987, with the support of "Ico Ico" toys store and Tamiya. The following belongs to the 8th National Convention of 1992 and the last of our 10th Anniversary Contest, in 1995.
The picture below was taken on December 1, 1995 during the CMLP Contest, and in it we see our partners Rubén Velázquez and Héctor Santanera with Brazilian colleagues.
· MODELING MAGAZINES
Surely many of us will remember these modeling magazines, most of the '80s. Among them we see "Modelismo e Historia", "Todo Modelismo", "Modelismo y Dioramas" and the "Technical Bulletin" published by the IPMS Mar del Plata
The following ones are true collectors items. Airfix magazines of the years 1970 and 1972, sent by Joaquín Pérez from Rio Gallegos.
· MORE BOXES, NYLON BAGS AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Of course, as in previous editions, this collection could not miss the old kits with which we started in modeling. From what we can see two boxes of the Westland Whirlwind MkI, from different eras, a Fokker E. III, from 1962 with its original box and a He 162A from Frog in his bag. There are also assembly instructions, a Matchbox catalog for 1980/81, and more.
