Avión de la armada Argentina, hecho del kit de Trumpeter, escala 1/48 . El morro esta construido en scratch con las ametralladoras que trae el kit, (las originales eran calibre 20 mm), las cajas son de plastico, la base un sobrante de metal de un fotograbado, el radar esta simulado con una lamparita de linterna (de las de alta luminosidad), el plegado de las alas esta simulado con alambre telefonico a modo de reproducir los circuitos hidraulicos, y el plastico del hueco que quedaba contra el ala relleno de plasticard.

Argentine Navy airplane, from the Trumpeter kit, in 1/48 scale. The nose is built in scratch with the machine guns that the kit brings, (the original ones were 20 mm caliber), the boxes are made of plastic, the base is a metal leftover from a PE set, and the radar is simulated with a flashlight (from those of high luminosity). The folding of the wings is simulated with telephone wire in order to reproduce the hydraulic circuits, and the hole of the wing filled with plasticard.

La maqueta, ref 03491 de Revell fue comprada en una tienda de modelismo de la ciudad de Mar del Plata.
Según referencias en internet la maqueta es una reedición de una antigua de Matchbox. El plástico es de calidad estándar, que permite trabajar y ensamblar el fuselaje sin mayores inconvenientes, el montaje de las alas del biplano entraña cierta dificultad, pero al no ser un experto en aviones no tengo mucha referencia de comparación, siendo terminado sin mayores sobresaltos.
La zona entre las alas fue detallada con plástico estirado.
La pintura corresponde al servicio en argentina, con color aluminio el cuerpo, mientras que la parte superior del ala llevaba amarillo brillante, la parte inferior está pintada color negro. Las calcas fueron compradas aparte, siendo el numero 4 construido con sobrantes de otras planchas.
La pintura fue realizada con acrílicos Tamiya, salvo por el amarillo que corresponde a Testors, dado que al finalizar muestra un brillo aproximado al que se estima fue el original.
EL conjunto fue barnizado con barniz Humbrol brillante.
El hidroavión operó también desde cruceros de la Armada, tal como el crucero ligero La Argentina, siendo lanzado por catapultas.
Planta Motriz Potencia 775 HP. velocidad máxima 230 Km/h.
Armamento 2 ametralladoras calibre 0.3 y capacidad para 150 kgs. de bombas.

The model, ref 03491 from Revell was purchased in a model shop in Mar del Plata.
According to references on the internet, the model is a reissue of an old Matchbox kit. The plastic is of standard quality, that allows to work and assemble the fuselage without major inconveniences, the assembly of the wings of the biplane has some difficulty, but I am not an expert in airplanes and I do not have much reference of comparison, being finished without major frights
The area between the wings was detailed with stretched sprue.
The painting scheme corresponds to the service in Argentina, with aluminum body color, while the upper part of the wing was bright yellow, the lower part is painted black. The decals were purchased separately, being the number 4 built with leftovers from other sheets.
The painting was made with Tamiya acrylics, except for the yellow that corresponds to Testors, since at the end it shows an approximate brightness that is estimated to be the original.
The model was varnished with brilliant Humbrol varnish.
The seaplane also operated from cruisers of the Argentine Navy, such as the light cruiser La Argentina, being launched by catapults.
