En esta oportunidad les traemos una revisión de la corbeta clase "Flower" inglesa, HMS Pennywort, en escala 1:350 gracias a la gentileza de Mirage Hobby que nos ha facilitado el kit para realizar este artículo. El modelo corresponde a una serie de productos basados en esta clase de buques que esta firma comercializa en la misma escala. Esta en particular porta en proa un detonador de minas magnéticas, por lo demás es semejante a otras corbetas de su clase. Las piezas del kit, que se encuentran distribuidas en tres árboles de plástico gris inyectado, poseen un buen nivel de detalle y la matricería es de buena calidad, no presentando rebabas ni marcas de inyección en general. La plancha de fotograbados sólo incluye las barandillas del buque y escaleras. Para aquellos modelistas más avanzados que quieran agregar más detalle al trabajo recomendamos el set Nº 35171 de White Ensing Models, elaborado precisamente para estos kits. La hoja de calcas presenta sólo la opción para el HMS Pennywort (K-111), no incluyendo otros numerales. Las instrucciones desarrolladas en 26 pasos son claras y descritas en polaco e inglés. Aparte encontramos la guía de pintura, a color, con referencias a los acrílicos Vallejo y Lifecolor. Asimismo, se nos ofrece una pequeña reseña histórica del buque y consejos para el correcto armado. Lo más interesante es que con este kit podemos representar la corbeta ARA República, que prestara servicio en la Armada Argentina, para lo cual es necesario realizar algunas modificaciones menores para corresponder al modelo con el original. En conclusión, se trata de un buen kit, con el cual se puede lograr un atractivo resultado incluso con el armado directamente de caja, existiendo la posibilidad de agregar productos de aftermarket como los referenciados en caso de requerirlo el aficionado.

In this opportunity we bring to you a review of the English "Flower" class corvette, HMS Pennywort, in 1:350 scale thanks to Mirage Hobby that kindly provided us the kit to make this article. The model corresponds to a series of products based on this class of ships that this brand produces on the same scale. This one in particular has a detonator for magnetic mines, but otherwise it's similar to other corvettes of the class. The pieces of the kit, which are distributed in three injected gray plastic sprues, have a good level of detail and good quality tooling, not presenting burrs or injection marks in general. The photoetched parts only includes the ship's railings and some stairs. For those more advanced modelers who want to add more detail to the work we recommend the set No. 35171 from White Ensign Models, designed precisely for these kits. The decal sheet presents only the option for the HMS Pennywort (K-111), not including other numerals. Instructions developed in 26 steps are clear and described in Polish and English. Apart we find the color guide, with references to Vallejo and Lifecolor acrylics. Also, the sheet offers a small historical overview of the ship and tips for the correct assembly. The most interesting thing is that with this kit we can represent the corvette ARA República, which served in the Argentine Navy, for which it's necessary to make some minor modifications to match the model with the original. In conclusion, this is a good kit, and you can achieve an attractive result even with the out of the box assembly, with the possibility of adding aftermarket products if the modeler requires it.
