Breve historia
El P-23 era un monomotor triplaza de bombardeo liviano y cooperación con el ejército, desarrollado en Polonia a mediados de los años 30. Diseñado y fabricado por la P.Z.L. (PantsoweZakaldyLotnicze, o Fabrica Central de Aviones ), el prototipo realizó su primer vuelo en Agosto de 1934.. La primera versión de serie fue el P-23 a , de la cual se construyeron unos 40 aviones en 1936, siendo reemplazado en la línea de producción por el mejorado P-23b .Si bien era un buen avión en ese momento, para cuando se produjo la invasión alemana en septiembre de 1939, el diseño había quedado obsoleto, resultando muy vulnerable a los cazas MesserschmittBf-109 y Bf-110 , y a las armas anti-aéreas modernas que acompañaban a las tropas alemanas. Al inicio de la guerra, unos 50 P-23 estaban asignados a la "Brigada de Bombardeo", con asiento en Varsovia, mientras que otros 64 aviones estaban distribuidos en diversas escuadrillas asignadas como apoyo directo a los 7 Cuerpos del Ejército polaco, repartidos por todo el país. Sin embargo, los P-23 sirvieron valientemente durante toda la campaña en defensa de Polonia, y algunos de ellos consiguieron escapar a Rumania, donde fueron incorporados por la fuerza aérea de ese pais, que los empleó más tarde en la guerra contra la Unión Soviética. El P-23 fue exportado a Rumania y Bulgaria (en su versión P-43) y algunos ejemplares fueron empleados también por la Luftwaffe alemana.
El Kit
Mirage Hobby nos ofrece en este caso un excelente kit del PZL P-23B, compuesto por tres árboles de plástico muy bien detallados, un árbol de plástico transparente, una plancha de fotograbados y calcomanias para realizar tres opciones de aviones usados por la fuerza aérea polaca. Las instrucciones de armado son bastante claras y detalladas, con abundantes indicaciones de los colores con que deben pintarse las diversas piezas del interior. El único punto débil es la falta de instrucciones para colocar las calcomanias en la parte superior e inferior de las alas. El tren de aterrizaje se puede armar con los carenados completos, parciales o sin los carenados, lo que nos permite pensar en distintas opciones. El interior de la cabina está extraordinariamente bien detallado, de igual forma que el motor y la góndola ventral. Los paneles exteriores en las alas y fuselaje, están finamente grabados y completos, con las superficies de control como piezas separadas. En otras cajas, Mirage Hobby nos ofrece kits para realizar todas las versiones de este avión, incluido el P-23 a , el P-23b en servicio en Rumania, el P-43 de Bulgaria e incluso el bideriva P-42. En resumen , otro excelente kit de Mirage Hobby, altamente recomendable!

Brief history
The P-23 was a single-engine light-bomb triple-engine and cooperation with the army, developed in Poland in the mid-1930s. Designed and manufactured by P.Z.L. (PantsoweZakaldyLotnicze, or Central Aircraft Factory), the prototype made its first flight in August 1934. The first version of the series was the P-23a, of which about 40 aircraft were built in 1936, being replaced in the production line for the improved P-23b. While it was a good plane at that time, by the time of the German invasion in September 1939, the design had become obsolete, making it very vulnerable to Messerschmitt Bf-109 and Bf-110 fighters , and modern anti-aircraft weapons that accompanied the German troops. At the beginning of the war, some 50 P-23 were assigned to the "Bombers Brigade", based at Warsaw, while another 64 aircraft were distributed in different squadronss assigned as direct support to the 7 corps of the Polish Army, distributed by the whole country. However, the P-23 served valiantly throughout the campaign in defense of Poland, and some of them managed to escape to Romania, where they were incorporated by the air force of that country, which later used them in the war against the Soviet Union. . The P-23 was exported to Romania and Bulgaria (in its P-43 version) and some copies were also used by the German Luftwaffe.
The Kit
Mirage Hobby offers us in this case an excellent PZL P-23B kit, consisting of three very well detailed plastic trees, a transparent plastic tree, a photoetched plate and decals to make three choices of aircraft used by the Polish Air Force . The assembly instructions are quite clear and detailed, with abundant indications of the colors with which the various pieces of the interior should be painted. The only weak point is the lack of instructions to place the decals on the top and bottom of the wings. The landing gear can be assembled with full, partial fairings or without the fairings, which allows us to think of different options. The interior of the cockpit is extraordinarily well detailed, in the same way as the engine and the ventral gondola. The panels lines on the wings and fuselage are finely engraved and complete, with the control surfaces as separate pieces. In summary, another excellent Mirage Hobby kit, highly recommended!
