HEMOS SIDO RECONOCIDOS COMO ORGANISMO NACIONAL DE I.P.M.S.
Estimados amigos:
Allá por Octubre de 2011 recibimos con gran alegría la designación por parte de IPMS UK como National Body -Organismo Nacional- de IPMS en nuestro país, otorgándonos el nombre de IPMS ARGENTINA-Mar del Plata, en reconocimiento a la extensa trayectoria y logros obtenidos por nuestra agrupación en la difusión del hobby.
Esta gran noticia, que constituye uno de los hechos más importantes en la historia de nuestra agrupación, nos llenó de orgullo y la compartimos con ustedes, sobre todo en razón del apoyo que siempre nos brindaron a través de más de 30 años de actividad.
A continuación, les acercamos el nombramiento formal enviado por los responsables de IPMS UK, seguido de su traducción:
IPMS ARGENTINA - Mar del Plata es bienvenido a la Asociación Mundial de IPMS , y es por este medio formalmente reconocido como Organismo Nacional de la INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC MODELLERS SOCIETY.
Al aceptar este reconocimiento, se comprometen a respetar los principios básicos de la Sociedad, sin distinción de raza, religión, edad, sexo o capacidad y a promover el hobby del modelismo a escala compartiendo habilidades, información y conocimiento.

PRINCIPIOS BASICOS DE LA INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC MODELLERS SOCIETY
Asimismo, se nos ha puesto en conocimiento de los principios básicos de IPMS, los cuales han de ser respetados por todos los miembros y asociaciones. Aquí los compartimos con ustedes:
Cada grupo debe comprometerse a respetar estos principios básicos que deben considerarse para ser miembro IPMS. No se le puede impedir a nadie ser miembro del club en razón de su raza, religión, edad, sexo o capacidad. Cualquier persona de cualquier nivel de habilidad puede ser un miembro de IPMS.
Cada grupo debe establecer una cierta forma para registrar a sus socios, y debe realizar reuniones con cierta regularidad.
Deben celebrarse elecciones democráticas por lo menos cada dos años por un Presidente, un Secretario y Tesorero, como mínimo.
Ninguna persona se hará miembro del grupo para obtener beneficios personales y no se permite el comercio para beneficio económico personal con el nombre de IPMS.
Ningún miembro podrá, por cualquier motivo, inscribirse o utilizar como marca el nombre de IPMS en su país. Solo cuando sea aceptado por el Comité Ejecutivo IPMS (Reino Unido) mediante la aplicación de un compromiso formal, podrá un Organismo Nacional incorporar el uso de "IPMS" y su logotipo. Los miembros IPMS de otros países, deben ser bienvenidos.
El Organismo Nacional de IPMS puede quitarle la membresía a cualquier miembro, rama o capítulo que no respete estos principios.
Cada Organismo Nacional es financieramente independiente y obtiene fondos de acuerdo a su propio programa. Para cubrir las necesidades de la sociedad se puede establecer una cuota de suscripción.
PRINCIPIOS BASICOS DE IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA COMO ORGANISMO NACIONAL
Hemos realizado una enunciación de principios en virtud de un mejor entendimiento en el derecho al uso de la sigla IPMS y la aplicación de sus reglas en nuestro país:
El IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA tiene el derecho al uso de la sigla IPMS y la facultad para autorizar su uso en carácter de filiales a las agrupaciones cuya actividad sea la práctica y difusión del modelismo plástico en el territorio de la República Argentina, que respeten los principios que aquí se enumeran y lo soliciten formalmente.
La afiliación a IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA no es coercitiva, sino que es un acto voluntario de cada agrupación que desee y que, de acuerdo a su actividad, pueda ser reconocida como miembro IPMS.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA entiende que para incentivar la camaradería y la unión de los modelistas no deberían fomentarse las divisiones por lo tanto no promoverá la existencia de más de una filial por ciudad.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA no intervendrá en la organización interna de cada filial siempre y cuando se respeten los principios básicos de IPMS
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA promoverá, a través suyo o de otras filiales, la práctica del plastimodelismo con concursos, exposiciones, charlas u otras actividades que se organicen para tal fin.
El IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA no pretende regular la actividad del hobby en la República Argentina.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA mantendrá contacto con instituciones que también promuevan el hobby, aunque están por fuera del ámbito IPMS, a fines de mejorar la práctica de la actividad en el país.
Las filiales tienen derecho:
A representar debidamente, previa autorización, a IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA mediante la entrega de premios, distinciones y otros reconocimientos en el país o el extranjero en concursos o eventos vinculados al plastimodelismo.
A hacer uso del logotipo oficial definido por IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA en todo tipo de anuncios que divulguen eventos, como así también en premios y distinciones especiales, junto al escudo de la filial y en el mismo nivel.
A nuestros amigos sólo queda reiterarles nuestro agradecimiento por el apoyo brindado todos estos años, lo que en gran parte ha hecho posible este importante logro, e invitarlos a seguir compartiendo muchísimos momentos más de camaradería.

Back in October 2011 we received with great joy the designation by the IPMS UK as National Body of IPMS in our country, giving us the name of IPMS ARGENTINA - Mar del Plata, in recognition of the extensive experience and achievements of our group in the diffusion of scale modelling.
This great news, which is one of the most important events in the history of our group, make us proud and we want to share with you, especially because of the support you always gave us through more than 30 years of activity.

IPMS BASIC RULES
We have also been informed about the basic principles of IPMS, which must be respected by all members and associations. Here we share with you:
Your group must agree to uphold these basic principles to be considered for IPMS membership. No one is to be prevented from membership by virtue of race, religion, age, sex, or ability. Anyone of any skill level may be a member.
You must have a membership of some kind with regularly scheduled meetings.
You must hold democratic elections at least every two years for a President, Treasurer and Secretary, as a minimum.
You must agree that no one is forming this group for personal gain and no one is allowed to trade for his or her personal financial gain using the name of the International Plastic Modellers Society.
No member may, for any reason, register or make as a trademark the name of the International Plastic Modellers Society (IPMS) in your own country. Only upon acceptance by the IPMS (UK) Executive Committee through application by a Formal Undertaking, can a National Body incorporate the use of 'IPMS" and its logo.
You must agree to make welcome IPMS members of other countries.
Any Member or Branch or Chapter failing to uphold these principles may have their membership withdrawn by the IPMS National Body.
Each National Body is financially independent and funds its own programme. A rated subscription fee should be introduced to pay for the needs of the Society.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA BASIC RULES AS NATIONAL BODY
We have made a statement of principles by virtue of a better understanding of the right to use the acronym IPMS and the application of its rules in our country:
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA has the right to use the acronym IPMS and the faculty to authorize its use as branches to the plastic modellers groups which respect the principles listed here and formally request it in the Argentine Republic territory.
The affiliation to IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA is not coercive, but is a voluntary act of each group that wishes and that, according to its activity, can be recognized as an IPMS branch.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA understands that, in favor of the camaraderie and union of the plastic modellers, divisions should not be encouraged, therefore it will not promote the existence of more than one branch per city.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA will not intervene in the internal organization of each branch as long as the basic principles of IPMS are respected.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA will promote, through itself or other branches, the practice of plastic modeling with contests, exhibitions, or other activities organized for that purpose.
The IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA doesn't intend to regulate the activity of the hobby in the Argentine Republic.
IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA will maintain contact with institutions that also promote the hobby, although they are outside the IPMS ambit, in order to improve the practice of the activity in the country.
Branches have the right:
To duly represent, with prior authorization, IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA by awarding prizes, distinctions and other recognitions in the country or abroad in contests or events related to plastic modeling.
To use the official logo defined by IPMS ARGENTINA - MAR DEL PLATA in all kinds of announcements that publicize events, as well as in prizes and special distinctions, together with the branch logo.
To our friends only remains to reiterate our thanks for their support through all these years, which it has largely made possible this significant achievement, and invite you to share great moments of camaraderie in the future.
